Blah, old icon, didn't have time to find the old one again, sorry!
So I made some more changes, I'm getting down to the time where I don't have enough time to completely complete it, but I have enough time to make a few more changes to it, so if anyone has a suggestion as to what desperately needs fixing, especially related to timing, I'd love to hear them!
this is a beatiful piece of art work you have created here. it must have taken up a lot of your time. and evan though i have not read this story for years it's very well done. I love it!
0__0 wow how did i not see this already? What an amazing accomplishment. It's really cool to see how closely we see the scene! It's such an evocative story.
Yeah, i was thinking the same. I was just thinking that Beauty and the Beast has something of that feel .. when she enters the Beast's room, sees the beautiful man painting and then the Beast gets all ferocious on her.
Oh definitely! I think both Beauty and the Beast and Phantom of the Opera are direct descendants of the story of Eros and Psyche, so to speak. I believe it was in the special features of the Beauty and the Beast DVD that I heard that they attempted to draw inspiration from heroines from other stories for each scene with Belle in it, such as the Sound of Music feel to the "Belle" reprise scene, and I believe Psyche was the inspiration for the scene where she enters the Beast's room as well. For SURE!
Oh cool interesting. And yeah, and Phantom, that's another one. I LOVE Phantom. I've seen the play like at least 5 times. I think I like stories about beauty vs ugliness, inside vs outside, monsters vs angels ... that kind of thing.
I've always felt that Batman sort of follows that pattern too, except minus the romance part. I think it would be WAAAAAAY cool if someone wrote a Batman comic where at least part of the storyline imitated the eros/psyche story, haha!
Cupid and Psyche is my favorite story!
